The graphics and animation in this video were superb. I also liked the way you manipulated the sprites to perform certain moves (such as when Akuma dodged Chameleon's kick by leaning backward). However, the story and dialogue was real cheesy, which kept me from giving your work a perfect score. I know the main focus of the video was the fighting, but if you're going to add dialogue it should at least be interesting.

Other than a minor setback, though, great work.

"Superb Sprite Movie"

It's been a long while since I've seen a flash movie where I've grinned the entire time. I have seen a few of these Mario and Sonic kind of movies and so far this is the best. The animations overall were great, and the storyline is actually pretty good.

I also liked how you kept the violence very "Nintendo." I enjoy bloody violence as much as the next man, but you kept it truly Nintendo by not adding any decapitations, crazy amounts of blood and cursing. You pulled it off well.

When it comes to the Mario/Sonic movies like these, I'm not sure if anyone can top this series. Seriously, keep it up, and good job.

On a serious note, I thought it was good. Short, but sweet—went directly to the point. And it's a good shot toward over-critical Newgrounds users that won't judge material for what it is, rather than what they want to see at the moment.

It was a good flash; however, "the funny" as one may call it came a bit slow. Also, the sound quality wasn't up to par with the movie's sound effects. Though the voice acting is done very well. The graphics and style of this short is very good. I haven't seen someone do an anime styled animation before (maybe animators are frightened of being called "otaku" or some other nonsense). Keep up the good work.

Nice style, impressive animation, and fighting scenes. There are quite a few flash movies remniscient of Dragonball Z, but this definitely stands out above the rest. I literally enjoyed every moment of it.

I'm glad to see a another good Mario flash on newgrounds. And although it's entirely sprite based, the animation is well done executed as well as the comedy. I would like to see more of these in the future.

I liked the simplicity of the gameplay, and the average difficulty level of it makes it addicting. It reminds me of the old games on the NES and Atari systems. Worth spending time on.

Very good game concept. And though it ties in with the war that we're in today, I didn't get the feeling that the missions were made from anger due to the events of 9/11. Gameplay is very simple, and has a good difficulty level - two of the things a great flash game needs. The creator of Xiao Xiao would be proud.
